In cooperation with our Italian distributor, M.Casale Bauer, we would like you to join us for a full-day of learning, demoing, knowledge-sharing & networking with some of the biggest and best-known experts in in studio recording, live music and theater sound.
Massimo Aluzzi (IT), Recording Engineer
Early in his career, Massimo worked in Rome as a Chief Engineer for Quattrouno studio. He moved to Naples in 1986 and worked as a Chief Engineer at Splash studio, where he is still working today. Massimo has worked as a freelance Live Engineer since 2000, and has been teaching at the Conservatorio di Avellino since 2007. Massimo has recorded and mixed gold and platinum albums with Gino Paoli, Edoardo Bennato, Giorgia, Zizi Posse, Gigi D'alessio. As Recording and FOH Engineer, he has worked with Andrea Bocelli, Noa, Jorge Rossy and many others.
Maurizio Biancani (IT), Sound Engineer, Producer
Maurizio worked as musician (keyboardist) and sound engineer from 1970 to 1977 with several Emilian live bands. Since 1976, he has been the chief engineer and director of the legendary Fonoprint Studios in Bologna, where artists such as Zucchero, Laura Pausini, Eros Ramazzotti made records. He collaborated as Sound Engineer with producer-arranger Mauro Malavasi in major Italian dance productions in the '80s. He has experience in recording, mixing, programming and mastering in professional studios in Italy and abroad with leading Italian artists
Nicola “Nick” Venieri (IT), Sound Engineer, Producer
Nick is an independent music producer and sound engineer for artists like Scialpi and Le Man. He has also been a studio recording and live sound engineer for Vasco Rossi since 1992. More recently, Nick was in charge of capturing audio at the world’s largest open air concert, Modena Park 2017, with an attendance of over 225,000 people.
Salvatore Zocco (IT), Sound Engineer, Product Manager, M. Casale Bauer
Salvatore has been in the audio branch since 1976, and has worked as pro audio product manager since 1990. Prior to this, he worked as freelance and studio engineer across Italy. Since 1998, Salvatore has held lessons and masterclasses about acoustic and microphones in several Italian Universities and Music Conservatories. Salvatore also teaches Music Production at the Music Academy in Bologna.
Rune Slot (DK), Miking Expert, FOH/MON Engineer, DPA Microphones
Coming from Denmark, Rune Slot has made a successful career as a studio and live sound engineer with artists such as Glenn Hughes, California Breed, Black Country Communion and Anne Linnet. It is with the rock band Disneyland After Dark (D-A-D) that he got noticed for his technical and artistic skills. He was the first audio professional to join the DPA's Master Club — member #001. Rune is now promoting the DPA brand and running seminars on microphone techniques all around the world.

This masterclass will be full of fun as well as learning. The day will be spent in the company of Rune Slot, Massimo Aluzzi, Maurizio Biancani, Nick Venieri and Salvatore Zocco.
Rune will present some theoretical information about DPA mics and their usage. He will focus on miking instruments and give a hands-on demo of miking a drum kit. He will also present DPA's product portfolio, including instrument and recording microphones.
Massimo will share his experiences in recording and producing jazz music. Maurizio will share tips and tricks from a long career of recording and producing pop music and Nick will share his knowledge about large live-music productions.
After a delicious catered lunch, Rune will talk about speech intelligibility and DPA bodyworn mics. Salvatore will end the disucssion, sharing his experiences with audio for theatres and broadcast.
The day ends with a raffle of a d:vice™ Digital Audio Interface, the opportunity to network with attendees, speakers and hosts.
